About Me

Picture of Me

If your wondering who the person is behind this site, it’s Me. I’m Cheryl Elliott RN. I’ve been a Registered Nurse for the past 26 years, most of those years as a night nurse - working those night shifts that most people hate.

Most people hate working nights because of one main reason - they can’t sleep during the day! That is what lead me to the development of this website.

I’ve always been intrigued with the Internet, but being a baby boomer, I’ve always been dumb as nails on it’s usage. Sure, I could surf the web and get E-mail, but that was the extent of what I could do on it. So I finally made up my mind that I was going to learn how to build a web site.

I bought books and read and read and read. I finally did it. I made this site. It took me ten times longer to do then a younger person, but I have succeeded - but still learning. I decided to do a site on sleep since it is such a big problem with many people. I hope it will be beneficial to those people in need of this information.

Sleeplessness is a big problem throughout the world. Whether it is due to night shift working, a medical problem which causes sleeplessness, or just not being able to go to sleep at night. I plan on addressing all the possible reasons that cause people to be unable to sleep, and possible solutions to these problems.

Since I work in a hospital on the night shift, I see this problem all the time from the patients that I take care of to my fellow coworkers. Sleeping or sleeping not enough hours is a big problem throughout the world.

With my direct observation of this problem and my medical background, I felt a website on sleep, sleeplessness and sleeping disorders was an appropriate topic. This site will be for informational purposes only - diagnosing and treatment of medical problems should always be done by a licensed medical physician.

I hope that you find my site very informative and pass on the information to others that you know have sleeping problems. Feel free to leave any comments.

Good Night to ALL,

                                 Cheryl
