Do you suffer from Insomnia?
I hate it when I can’t sleep. Laying there tossing and turning, watching the clock. The more I try to go to sleep the more I get stressed - knowing that I will feel like cramp the next day.Sound familiar?
Insomnia effects everyone at one time or another but this should not be an everyday occurance. This problem can result from stress, jet lag, or diet, . Insomnia almost always affects job performance and how you feel the next day. About 60 million Americans a year have insomnia. Insomnia increases with age and affects about 40 percent of women and 30 percent of men. It is often the major symptom of an underlying medical disorder.
Sleeping pills may be ordered by your doctor for short bouts of insomnia. Most sleeping pills stop working after several weeks of nightly use, and long-term use can interfere with good sleep. Mild insomnia often can be prevented by practicing good sleep habits. For chronic cases of insomnia, researchers are experimenting with light therapy and other ways to alter circadian cycles.
Time for sleep.
